Beckham Berharap CR7 Comeback ke United

LONDON – Mantan ikon Manchester United, David Beckham, menyatakan keinginannya untuk melihat Cristiano Ronaldo kembali mengenakan seragam kebesaran The Red Devils. Seperti diketahui, CR7 adalah suksesor Beckham sebagi pemegang jersey nomor tujuh keramat United setelah Becks – sapaan Beckham – hengkang ke Real Madrid pada musim panas 2003.

 

CR7 sendiri menapak tilas jejak Becks yang hijrah ke Santiago Bernabeu. Superstar Timnas Portugal itu diboyong Los Blancos dengan mahar yang memecahkan rekor transfer kala itu, yakni 80 juta pounds. Becks sendiri menyampaikan keinginannya ini kepada stasiun radio talk SPORT, Sabtu (3/10/2015)

"Saya adalah fans United dan sampai saat ini saya masih mencintai klub tersebut. Tak ada yang berubah. Sejujurnya saya sangat ingin melihat dia (Cristiano) kembali, sesuatu yang tidak saya lakukan sebelum pensiun. Saya pikir dia adalah United dan United adalah dia. Romantisme itu masih ada dan dia juga tahu kalau kecintaan suporter padanya sama sekali belum hilang," celoteh Becks.

"Tapi saat ini dia nyaman di Real Madrid. Dia sudah menjadi pemain Real Madrid yang sebenarnya, bahkan sudah jadi legenda. Itu tak terbantahkan. Tapi, ke depannya tidak ada yang tahu. Segala kemungkinan masih bisa terjadi," lanjut eks kapten Timnas Inggris tersebut.

Tak ketinggalan, Becks juga turut mengucapkan selamat kepada CR7 yang baru saja sukses membukukan gol ke 500 dan 501-nya selama kariernya  baik di level klub maupun Timnas.

"Selamat buat Cristiano karena dia telah melakukan sesuatu yang benar-benar luar biasa dan sulit dipercaya. Saya yakin Real Madrid benar-benar bangga memilikinya," tukas Becks.
